Carl Schirtzinger
My dad is responsible for the day-to-day management of our company. He has been really busy managing the acquisition and disposition of 25 apartment properties in the last 10 years. Daddy’s methodical and process oriented approach enables him to identify prime “value-add” properties, which has earned him the recognition as one of the leading “new” operators in multi-family housing.

Prior to forming EPM, Daddy was a senior engineer and engineering manager with such companies as GE Capital, American Electric Laboratories, and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.

Daddy is smart too! He received his education from Illinois Institute of Technology with honors and is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and National Apartment Association. I’m proud of my Dad!

Okay, technically I’m not one of the kids, but my owner has really important responsibilities. She handles accounting, human resources , business partnerships, corporate staff and acquisitions. Prior to her joining EPM, she was a senior manager for Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, and her duties there were focused on finance and operations for the Logistic group. Before that, she was employed as a senior manager of inventory at Playboy.

In addition to those corporate experiences, she has owned and operated several apartment properties that I could wander at will.

Laurie holds a BA from Northern Illinois University, and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
